With our interests in multichannel ecommerce
, because of Seller Dynamics, we were encouraged to see that ebay have secured Microsoft as their latest seller with an ebay store that is a big addition to the marketplace - see it here
It's no secret that ebay have been shifting their position for some time. With a pedigree as an auction site ebay is now a powerful outlet for retailers of all sizes - including huge corporates such as giant Microsoft. For some retailers though ebay is bound to be seen as still an auction site that is not for them - and its that misconception that ebay is working hard to overcome.
ebay is just one of the markets that Seller Dynamics supports - allowing retailers to list across not just ebay but also Amazon, Play and FNAC. As part of the team, the Web Wise Business side get involved in template design and shop front creation, all helping to compliment the powerful repricing and listing capability within Seller Dynamics.
Although the ebay tie in with Microsoft and the resulting Microsoft shop is a USA news story, in the UK the tie up with Argos is equally evident and again shows the shift that ebay is making. For retailers who are new to ecommerce or who have not considered selling through a marketplace such as ebay the opportunities are significant.
