University Technology is a Scotland wide collaborative effort, over and above each university’s own marketing efforts, to showcase new technology opportunities from Scotland’s academic research base. Building on Scotland’s already worldwide reputation for the commercialisation of new technologies UT enables companies and investors from business & industry to find the most exciting technology transfer opportunities that Scotland has to offer.
The University Technology site allows each partner university to add their own offers and ensures that interested parties can find all the technology opportunities from Scotland's universities in one convenient location. As each opportunity is added the site automatically posts to Twitter and sends email alerts to registered users of the site. A structured search facility also ensures that sector specific technology can be found with ease.
RSS feeds and even a free
University Technology Plug In are offerred on the site to ensure that other organisations and institutions can easily add the UT content to their own site. This helps to ensure that the online marketing of Scotland's rich research output is as widely broadcast as possible.
Working with a wide range of stakeholders across Scotland's University base ensured that a great many demands and interests had to be balanced.
